Circle of Peace in Brda

The 11.5-kilometre long circular thematic trail, the Circle of Peace in Brda (Park of peace), leads past the remains of the First World War and beautiful views to the open-air museum Sabotin - Park of Peace.

The Briški krog miru (the Circle of Peace in Brda) is a hiking trail along the ridge of the Peace Park on Sabotin. Climb Sabotin, a hill above the Soča River that was the scene of fierce fighting in World War I and today is a place that reminds visitors of peace and reconciliation. The 11.5 km long circular thematic trail starts on its ridge at the Sabotin hunting lodge. As you walk, you can enjoy magnificent views stretching from the foothills of the Alps to the Adriatic Sea, all the way to Venice, and in the immediate depths, you can observe the beautiful colour of the emerald Soča River.
